:: Welcome to Nick Ski, Owner-run, Catered Ski Chalet ::
::HOT NEWS - cannons on green run for 2011 = SNOW SURE ski home::
Hi, I'm Nick and I own and run Nick Ski, an independent catered ski chalet company with just one chalet, Chalet Juba, run by myself and partner Joanna. We work in the chalet ourselves and are the only owner-run chalet in La Tania so do not have staff. I'd like to share my passion
for skiin g and great food in a wonderful forest setting with you.
In normal
conditions the chalet is literally ski to the door (see picture on What's New page). The green run is 50 metres away from the chalet so everyone can ski home. This summer 20 new snow cannons are being installed on the green run which means it will be even easier to ski home all season. Our location is perfect for your holiday.
Chalet Juba was built to my specifications 9 years ago and is in the pine (Norway Spruce) forests of La Tania which is situated between Courchevel and Meribel in the largest and best skiing area in the world known as The Three Valleys/ Les Trois Vallees.
I
know the whole area incredibly well and can advise on the best
routes to take and the best runs to try.
We offer a Catered Chalet service (demi-pension, 6 nights a week). We select great wines from the French Autumn "Wine Fairs" and hope you enjoy them too. Joanna spent 15 years in the Food Industry and is a Food Hygiene trainer as well. I have always loved cooking and together we have planned delicious meals for you. On our day off you sort your own breakfast and eat out in one of the local restaurants in the evening.
Our aim is to make your holiday a special and memorable occasion and many of our guests return each year and we would like to welcome lots of new people too.

About La Tania ::
La
Tania was purpose built for the Olympic Games in 1992 and has
plenty of nice bars and restaurants with live music most nights of the week; Pizzas, Michelin Star Gourmet Food, Cocktail lounge, Savoyard Fayre (fondue, raclette), English Pub, Modern Euro/British Bistro.......
Access to skiing is spot on; a modern Gondola and then a fast
chair lift which whisks you to the top of the mountain in no time, straight into either the Meribel or Courchevel
Valleys. Of course La Tania also has some great runs. At the end of the day there are 3 lovely tree-lined runs back to the resort and the blue and green have snow cannons all the way down. The new green run, constructed 4 summers ago, and 50m from the chalet, has since been improved making it even easier to get back at the end of the
day.

:: The Three Valleys::
The area is incredibly vast with nearly 400 miles of pisted runs, of which over 150 miles have snow cannons. We never get bored skiing the Three Valleys and many guests return each year.
We regularly ski to Val Thorens and the 4th Valley, Orelle in a day.
There is an incredible amount of off-piste skiing lasting days after snow-falls.
There
is also a free bus service to Courchevel which operates
until late evening.
