By Air to Geneva, Lyon, Chambery or Grenoble then car hire, public bus or private mini bus transfer to Chalet Juba.

Self drive via ferries or Channel Tunnel. We have plenty of parking space beside the chalet. Remember to consider if you need chains depending on the time of year, your type of car and tyres.

By Train/Eurostar to Moutiers then less than 30 mins. transfer by taxi, public bus or private mini bus.

:: Ski Passes ::

Ski Passes are easily and quickly purchased at the La Tania Gondola station minutes before you go skiing. Alternatively pre-buy them on line at www.s3V.com and have them posted to your home address - much the easiest and quickest way! You can also opt to pick them up from the La Tania Tourist Office.

 

:: Equipement Rental and Purchase ::

We recommend Ski Higher in La Tania. Phil, Diana,Bruno and their helpful team will advise on boots, skis and snowboards. You can pre-book but don't need to; just pop in when you are ready to get your equipment be it the afternoon before you ski or at 08:30 in the morning when they open (lifts open 09:00) . They also have a large range of ski kit to buy and are experts in boot-fitting. The shop is the first one you come to at the bottom of the public lift in the centre of the village and thus only a few minutes from Chalet Juba. If you are a group arriving together they do a chalet delivery service; prebook online, equipement fitted and delivered to chalet and collected at the end of the week, freindly English speaking technicians.

See Ski Higher website to book online or call the shop direct. If you are a complete beginner and unable to ski in/out of the chalet they offer a "locker service" and you can leave you shoes there during the day and boots (heated) and skis there overnight for a few Euros.

Magic International Ski School : NEW FOR THE SEASON 2010/2011, Magic Little Ones groups for 4 and 5 year olds, with an enclosed Magic Garden at the top of the La Tania bubble. Magic have been running ski lessons in the Three Vallees since 1992, one of the first ski schools with lessons tailored specially for the English speaking client. From children’s group lessons through to specialised adult technical clinics there is something for everyone. Always very popular so book early! BASS / British Alpine Ski and Snowboard School has a base in Courchevel. Run by Thea and Les they start their group lessons from Courchevel 1850 but are very flexible about joining in the days you'd like to. For private and family groups they can meet you in La Tania. Supreme Ski operate out Courchevel 1850 which is ideal for complete beginners and easy to reach by bus. Group and private lessons for kids, adults or familes. SMALL groups, limited to 5 per instructor. If you are a complete beginner you may find it better to have your lessons in 1850 than La Tania and its easy to take the free bus round to 1850. :: Childcare - our recommendations ::

Kids Etcetera is owned and run by Shirley O'Neill and her staff of British trainned nannies. The nanny services they offer include "playgroup"; littles ones are picked up straight after breakfast and entertained all day in the Kids Etc chalet in Meribel and then brought back clean, fed and happy about 5pm. All of our guests who have used this service have been very impressed.See website for other options.
